One of the "ghost gates" designed to discourage various spectral troublemakers from entering the cemetery.

The other side of the ghost gate; it's closed only on Halloween night.

The morning after Halloween, the gates seem to have done their work. All is quiet among these graves, most of which belong to soldiers who died here in World War I. British, German, and African troops in British service are all buried here under small headstones. The more ornate ones belong to British and Portuguese civilians who died here between 1900-1920.
